HISTORY

S-J has wowed audiences all over the world, performing eight tours of Australia including the Sydney Olympic Stadium, LA Orange County Festival, San Francisco, Vancouver, South Africa, as well as numerous other major festivals around Europe as the Headline Act, as Baby Doc & S-J.

From a very young age, S-J demonstrated a strong talent for music, playing a number of instruments and singing and acting culminating in a music scholarship to Felsted School sealing her ambition to be an artist.

Aged 18, she arrived in London and soon started collaborating with various producers and found that, with dance music just starting, she could carve out a career as a singer/writer in this field. Collaborations followed with David Holmes/ Ashley Beedle “Latin Prayer”.

A 10 yr partnership as one half of Baby Doc & S-J saw her sign to cult independent dance label REACT with whom she had three big tunes and the success of their label Arriba Records, toured around the world. S-J was the first ever singer to write and sing over what was then called Hard-Trance.

She quickly soared to the top of all the hype charts and had hits with “Fever”, “I Feel Divine” and “Shiver”. All three tunes reaching top 20/30/40 in the UK, Europe, Australia, South Africa.

“I Feel Divine” was the No1 most played record on the radio in Spain where she headlined several of their equivalent of Radio 1 roadshows in Spain.

She was one of the late DJ Tony De Vit’s favourite artists. His remix of “Fever” made it to the top 100 dance records.

A frequent performer at Heaven nightclub and the world famous Trade night at Turnmills, she was also the last ever PA at Trade and also headlined at the Brixton Academy. Her music was championed on dance shows on Radio One, Kiss FM and around the world,  establishing her place in club history as one of the first ever female dance music producers.

Together with Baby Doc, S-J headlined all around the world including the LA “Orange County Festival” alongside D12 Crew; Sydney Olympic Stadium; Camel Light Experience Tour of South Africa alongside Sonique, and Judge Jules as well as Toronto’s Ice Hockey stadium.

S-J played the biggest parties in Spain including 100,000 fans in Malaga.

Baby Doc and S-J headlined Dance Valley, Amsterdam and were tour headliners for Gatecrasher, Australia.

One of Baby Doc and S-J’s dance tracks was featured in the Holllywood Blockbuster “Man on Fire” with Denzel Washington.
